Pakistan claimed a four-run victory against England in a thrilling Under-19s One Day International at the County Ground, Derby.
A 124-run partnership between Imam-ul-Haq (64) and Hasan Raza (71) helped Pakistan recover from 16-3 to close on a competitive 227-8 form their 50 overs. Jack Winslade (3-37) and Will Rhodes (3-45) claimed three wickets apiece, while Matthew Fisher picked up one to help restrict Azam Khan’s side.
England made an excellent start in reply with Jonathan Tattersall (53) and Harry Finch (53) adding 111 runs for the opening wicket. Ryan Higgins top scored with 54, before Captain Ben Duckett chipped in with a quick-fire 22 to leave England needing 12 runs from as many balls for win.
But two wickets in the penultimate over from the tournament’s leading wicket taker Zafar Gohar (3-24) help Pakistan seal a dramatic victory by four runs.

England Under-19s and Pakistan Under-19s will meet again in the International Tri-Series Final on Monday, 19th August at Trent Bridge, Nottingham (10.45am start).
