Tim Groenewald returns to Derbyshire’s matchday squad for the LV= County Championship fixture with Somerset, starting tomorrow (10.30am start).
The 29-year-old paceman missed the four-wicket defeat to Surrey after the birth of his first child, but rejoins the squad ahead of the crucial four-day game at Taunton.
The 12 men named in the squad to face Surrey have all regained their place. Dan Redfern, Jonathan Clare and Mark Turner, however, all miss out due to injury.
Shivnarine Chanderpaul is set to compete in his 500th career first-class innings this week against Somerset, while Wayne Madsen needs 109 more runs to reach 6,000 career first-class runs.
Somerset, meanwhile, will be without Jamie Overton and Jos Buttler after the pair were included in England’s ODI squad to face Australia this week.
Somerset – who sit 17 points ahead of Derbyshire - enter the fixture on the back of an innings and 179-run win against Middlesex. Victory for Karl Krikken’s men this week, however, will move them ahead of their Division One counterparts.
Derbyshire squad to face Somerset is as follows:
