Tony Palladino’s pre-season tour of Barbados is at a premature end after an accident during fielding practice left him nursing a broken jaw.
The Falcons’ fast bowler is returning to the UK for treatment in order to ensure he returns to action as swiftly as possible after taking a ball in the face at North Stars yesterday.
Palladino took 52 first-class wickets during his debut Derbyshire season after joining from Essex ahead of the 2011 campaign.
Prior to picking up the injury yesterday, he spoke to Derbyshire’s Youtube channel about his successful 2011 and aspirations for the forthcoming campaign.
