Members of the 1st XI squad will parade the LV=County Championship Division Two trophy prior to Derby County’s match against Burnley this coming Saturday, September 22nd.
A selection of players will show off the trophy, which Derbyshire won last Friday by beating Hampshire at the County Ground, having kindly been invited by the football club.
The gesture means that the LV=County Championship Division Two winners will be able to witness the acknowledgement and applause of a 20,000 + crowd, just over a week after being crowned Champions on Sky TV.
The club is also delighted to announce that the Mayor of Derby - Councillor Lisa Higginbottom - will host a Civic Reception in recognition of their achievements in 2012, with further information on both a date and venue to be announced in the near future.
