Nationally-recognised networking organisation; The Business Network will utilise Derbyshire County Cricket Club’s conference facilities for a number of their popular networking events this summer.
The Business Network, founded in 1992, promotes and encourages local business decision makers from across the business spectrum to come together to exchange ideas and develop new relationships.
Derbyshire CCC’s 1870 Business Club has already grown to over 40 members of the local business community and a partnership between the cricket club and one of the area’s leading business networking organisations represents a perfect fit for Chief Executive Simon Storey and his team.
Storey said: “Much of our success attracting new businesses ahead of season 2013 has come from making The County Ground a networking, hosting and introductory hub for local businesses.”
“Welcoming The Business Network events will further improve our potential to perform that role effectively.”
“This emerging partnership demonstrates that The County Ground can offer the perfect blend of quality corporate facilities against a stunning sporting backdrop.
“We will continue to reach out to local businesses as we aim to become a leading Derbyshire venue for both match-day and non match-day events long into the future.”
The Business Network events regularly attract 40-50 members and their guests. With First Division cricket in the background, Principal Peter Motley is enthusiastic about hosting events at The County Ground.
He said: “We were looking for a first class venue with a go ahead management and we found it. Our members appreciate venues that reflect the quality of our lunchtime events and the County Ground ticks all the boxes”
