Free entry for Kids this week against Surrey

DerbyKids can attend this week's four-day fixture with Surrey for FREE! So come down to the County Ground and watch Test legends Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Ricky Ponting go head-to-head.

The forecast is for good weather for all three days, with the match concluding on Sunday. Youngsters can enjoy top-class Division One cricket free of charge as we come to the end of the half-term break - and they can cheer on Derbyshire as they aim to secure their first win of the campaign against Surrey.

Young aspiring cricketers can take note and watch world number two Test batsman Chanderpaul and former Australia Captain Ponting ply their trade, as the two Test legends go head-to-head in this crucial LV= County Championship match.

Ashes winner Ponting will spearhead a Surrey line-up that includes England internationals Steven Davies, Vikram Solanki, Gareth Batty and Chris Tremlett, who themselves are also searching for their first victory in the 2013 competition.

Juniors under 16 years of age - who are accompanied by an adult - can attend the next three days free of charge. Gates open at 9.30am and play will start at 11am.
