Derbyshire Falcons welcome defending Yorkshire Bank 40 champions Hampshire Royals to the County Ground on Bank Holiday Monday, 26th August (1.45pm start).
Karl Krikken’s young side enter their final 40-over fixture looking to build on their convincing 107-run victory against Durham at the County Ground earlier this month. Richard Johnson led the way with 58 as part of a 103-run stand with Wayne Madsen (37), before three wickets apiece from Madsen (3-27) and Knight (3-36), and four from David Wainwright (4-11) secured a comprehensive win.
Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Wes Durston could return to the Falcons’ one-day squad to face the Royals after missing the win against the Dynamos, the side's third of the competition.
The Royals, meanwhile, currently sit top of Group B a point clear of second placed Lancashire. They are likely to include Michael Carberry - who has been selected in England’s Twenty20 squad for their two-match series against Australia – and fellow internationals Dimi Mascarenhas, Neil McKenzie and Danny Briggs.
Youngsters will gain free entry, if accompanied by a paying adult, to the Bank Holiday Monday fixture versus Hampshire. And Captain Wayne Madsen is calling for a performance to inspire youngsters.
“It will be great to see lots of families with their kids at the County Ground and we hope to provide them with an entertaining spectacle," Madsen said.
“By watching us - and from the atmosphere created at a one-day game - I hope the youngsters in the crowd will be inspired and encouraged to take up the sport in the future, both as spectators and as players.”
Supporters who buy tickets in advance will benefit from discounted prices of £12 adults, juniors FREE and £4 car parking; available online here or by calling 01332 388 101.
A further £2 discount is available per adult ticket for a group containing four or more adults. Tickets are also available on the gate priced at £16 adults, juniors FREE and £5 car parking.
