Mark Turner has been added to Derbyshire's matchday squad for their crunch LV= County Championship fixture with Durham at the County Ground, beginning tomorrow (10.30am start).
The 28-year-old paceman has been included to replace fellow seamer Matt Higginbottom who has been ruled out with injury.
Victory over Somerset last week moved Wayne Madsen's men out of the bottom two in Division One ahead of their penultimate four-day fixture of the season against Paul Collingwood’s title contenders.
A classy unbeaten 74 from West Indies international Shivnarine Chanderpaul helped Derbyshire seal their third victory of the campaign, keeping their chances of avoiding the drop alive with two fixtures remaining against Durham and Warwickshire (Tuesday 24th September).
Chesney Hughes - who missed the last two fixtures - is still unavailable, while Dan Redfern and Jonathan Clare both miss out due to injury.
Opponents Durham, meanwhile, currently sit top of the Division One table after securing back-to-back victories against Yorkshire and Sussex.
They boast a heavily experienced line-up with full internationals Collingwood, Graham Onions and Phil Mustard amongst their ranks. They will, however, be without England all-rounder Ben Stokes due to his involvement in the ODI series with Australia and Mark Wood due to a side strain.
Paceman Jamie Harrison returns to their squad after missing last week with an ankle injury, while young spinner Ryan Buckley has also been included
