Derbyshire business leader Sisson is hoping for a hat-trick

buymobiles.netPaul Sisson is hoping Derbyshire County Cricket Club can complete a hat-trick of celebrations for his company

The Alfreton based mobile phone retailer celebrated its tenth anniversary a fortnight ago.

And they were further boosted by the grassroots cricket club they support, Belper Meadows, lifting the Derbyshire County League Division 6 North title at the weekend.

Now it’s over to the players of Derbyshire County Cricket Club, who were bolstered during pre-season by the introduction of as an official partner, to complete the hat-trick.

Karl Krikken’s men are aiming to preserve the Club’s LV= County Championship First Division status for the 2014 season.

The penultimate four day fixture is already underway at the County Ground and back-to-back victories over Durham and Warwickshire would all but guarantee Derbyshire’s place for a second successive campaign in the top flight.

Sisson revealed that he took great delight in Belper Meadows’ title success and equally has his fingers crossed for the County Club.

He said: “Belper Meadows’ hard-earned triumph was earned by a nucleus of young players for whom we were delighted to assist with funding for coaching prior to the start of the season as part of our sponsorship.

“Hopefully Derbyshire can give us something more to celebrate following the excellent grassroots achievement at Belper.

“Derbyshire is an ambitious Club and I know they’re working really hard to stay in the top flight. Everyone at is right behind them.

“Our sponsorship deal helped secure the signature of Shivnarine Chanderpaul, so it gave us real satisfaction when he took the team over the line in the recent victory over Somerset.

“Win, lose or draw, we’re proud of our association with cricket in Derbyshire and that our investment is making a difference to the game at both professional and grassroots level.

“This demonstrates that - although our brand is national – we remain true to our roots in Derbyshire and committed to supporting our local community.”
