Derbyshire County Cricket Club Regional Representatives met with the Supervisory Board last week to discuss topics Members have put forward.
Regional Representatives, who act as representatives for Members within each region across the county, spoke about a variety of matters which the Members within their district have brought up since the close of the 2013 campaign.
It was also a chance for Regional Representatives to understand more about the goings on at the Club, including the recently announced Elite Cricket Performance model, in order to relay the information back to their Members.
Derby City Regional Representative Alan Flintoff said: “It was a good opportunity for the Regional Representatives to put forward the concerns of Members within our own districts.
“For example, I’m a Life Member and I’ve had fellow Life Members on the phone expressing different concerns which I put forward to the Supervisory Board.
“We discussed a number of issues including car parking, the Memorial Garden, and the new Elite Cricket Performance structure.
“I think all representatives were pleased with the outcome of the meeting as we gained a greater understanding of certain issues and were able to see the bigger picture, which will certainly help as we deal with these topics in the future.
“For example, it was explained in more detail why, due to health and safety laws, Members and supporters are no longer allowed to park on the grass bank at the County Ground.
“We will now be able to communicate this, and other topics, to Members in our region.
“We look forward to attending future productive meetings with the Supervisory Board and also the planned forthcoming Regional Forums that the Regional Reps will organise in the New Year featuring Chief Executive Simon Storey, Regional Representatives and a first-team player.”
