Chairman Chris Grant says the new elite cricket coaching team will help Derbyshire become a force in domestic cricket.
The Club added John Sadler, Ant Botha, Simon Guy and Cookie Patel to its backroom team this week to support Elite Cricket Performance Director Graeme Welch.
Stephen Stubbings and AJ Harris, meanwhile, have both also been retained as part of the new structure.
Grant says this unprecedented investment in coaching will give Derbyshire the best chance of fulfilling its ambition for sustainable success across all three domestic competitions.
He said: “I’m confident that the elite coaching team we have assembled to support Graeme will, for the first time, give Derbyshire a genuine chance of becoming a force in domestic cricket.
“The new coaching team will work primarily with the professional squad ensuring no stone is unturned regarding match preparation.
"All the coaching team will play a major part in professional squad coaching as well as lending their expertise to home-grown cricketers aiming to breakthrough into the first-class game from the Academy and County Age Groups.
“We also have the right man leading us in Graeme. The Club is very lucky to have him and I derive huge pride every time I see him working with the lads at the ground.
“Every day I feel we are making progress.
“All the coaches will be in position by mid-February and they will be working tirelessly to ensure that the squad is fully prepared for the start of the new campaign.
Grant added: “Our investment in coaching, however, doesn’t end there as we continue to work on the appointment of our new Elite Cricket Performance Analyst.”
“The successful candidate, who we hope to have in place in the coming weeks, will provide statistical and video analysis using the latest state of the art technology.”
