Steelbacks Twenty20 fixture abandoned

The3aaaCountyGroundDerbyshire Falcons’ NatWest T20 Blast fixture against Northamptonshire Steelbacks at The 3aaa County Ground this evening has been abandoned without a ball bowled.

ECB umpires Peter Hartley and Neil Bainton carried out an inspection at 6.30pm and deemed that the outfield had taken too much water and conditions were unsafe for play.

Supporters who have purchased a matchday ticket for tonight’s fixture can use their ticket to gain free entry at any other match during the 2014 season, with the exception of the all ticket matches; versus Nottinghamshire Outlaws on Friday 6th June, versus Yorkshire at Chesterfield on Sunday 13th July and the three day tourist fixture versus India.

Alternatively a refund may be claimed by applying in writing to the ticket office enclosing your matchday ticket along with your name and address.

Derbyshire Falcons are back in NatWest T20 Blast action at The 3aaa County Ground next Friday (6 June), in the first of those all ticket fixtures as Wayne Madsen’s men welcome neighbours Nottinghamshire Outlaws for the highly-anticipated local derby.

Tickets are on sale now and supporters who buy tickets in advance can save £4 per matchday ticket. To buy tickets call 0871 350 1870 or click here>>
