Mark Footitt and Shivnarine Chanderpaul have been awarded with their Derbyshire County Cricket Club County Caps after the LV= County Championship victory against Glamorgan at The 3aaa County Ground.
Elite Performance Director Graeme Welch presented the Derbyshire pair with their County Caps shortly after the hosts claimed victory on the third morning.
Footitt joined the Club in 2010 and has claimed 144 first-class wickets, at 28 apiece, in 44 matches for Derbyshire. He yesterday reached 50 first-class in a season for the first time in his career.
West Indies batsman Chanderpaul, who joined the Club at the start of the 2013 season, has hit 1463 first-class runs for Derbyshire in 24 matches, averaging 45 and including one century and 14 half-centuries.
Welch said: “I would like to congratulate both Mark and Shiv on this thoroughly deserved accolade.
“Both players are constant performers for the Club and the awarding of the County Cap is in recognition of this.
“Mark has enjoyed, so far, his best season to date, reaching 50 first-class wickets in a season for the first time in his career yesterday.
“Shiv is a legend of the game and has been outstanding both on and off the field for Derbyshire and it’s an honour to present both with their County Caps.”
