Derbyshire entertain Gloucestershire in their final Royal London One-Day Cup fixture on Thursday 21 August (2pm start) – with the Falcons still in the hunt for a quarter-final berth.
Graeme Welch’s men currently occupy the final qualifying spot in Group A, having defeated Northamptonshire on Monday in a rain-affected game at Wantage Road.
Wes Durston hit his second century off the campaign, 108 off 94 balls, before Tony Palladino (3-51) claimed three wickets to complete a six-run win against the Steelbacks.
After the defeat to Yorkshire on Wednesday, however, Derbyshire's final Group A fixture versus Gloucestershire is now a must-win game, as only a victory will be enough to send the Falcons through to the quarter-final stage.
Gloucestershire’s one-day side is spearheaded by New Zealand international batsman Hamish Marshall, while Michael Klinger is currently leading the side’s scoring charts with 226 runs at an average of 56.50.
