Dismal weather has ensured that no play will be possible on the fourth and final day of Derbyshire's LV=County Championship match against Leicestershire at Grace Road.
The table-toppers have dominated what has been a heavily rain-affected contest and this is reflected in the points tally, with the visitors taking eight points to Leicestershire's four.
The weather has ensured that Derbyshire have been unable to build on their 259-5 and will have to settle for a draw in what has nevetheless constituted an impressive performance.
Inside Edge: 'Disappointing that the weather prevented us from completing the game, especially considering the position we were in. It has been a great start to the LV=County Championship and we are looking forward to continuing our form when the four day competition resumes in July.' - Wayne Madsen
Yesterday, Derbyshire were left frustrated by the elements, with only a brief spell of play before Lunch available.
In that time, Derbyshire were positive, taking their score from an overnight 191-5 to 259-5 before the rain set in; the visitors' lead advancing to 82 with five first innings wickets in hand.
The unbroken stand between Dan Redfern (81*) and David Wainwright (45*) stood at 105 with the former passing 50 for the 20th time in First Class cricket.
