Derbyshire support RSPB

RSPBDerbyshire County Cricket Club is raising money for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds throughout the summer of cricket.

Falcon pin badges, in line with the Club’s one-day nickname, Derbyshire Falcons, are available to supporters at the County Ground in return for donations to the RSPB following a recent visit from senior representatives of the charity.

Badges can be obtained for a donation of £1 from the Club Shop, Ticket Office and Reception at the County Ground at any time or from the Jackson & Gladwin Suite Members’ lounge on match-days.

Derbyshire County Cricket Club Committee Member Tony Borrington said: “We are very happy to support the RSPB local group and this is particularly appropriate bearing in mind their smart falcons badges link in with the Club name for one day cricket.

RSPB Local Group Deputy Leader Ray Worthy said: “We are delighted to be associated with the Falcons and wish them every success on the field.”
