Chesney Hughes (pictured) and Mark Footitt are in contention for recalls as Derbyshire face Yorkshire in the LV= County Championship starting on Monday, 11am.
Head Coach Karl Krikken has selected the duo for his 13 man squad after impressive performances in the recent Second XI victory over a combined Surrey and Hampshire XI.
Hughes top-scored with 63 and 45 in the five wicket win at Belper Meadows while Footitt took 6 for 71 prior to twelfth man fielding for the first team today. Mark Turner is expected to miss out through injury.
Tony Palladino didn’t bowl in the second innings versus Nottinghamshire after succumbing to a Stuart Broad toe-cruncher. The Derbyshire paceman is, however, fit to travel to Headingley Carnegie.
Derbyshire’s 13-man squad in full is as follows: Wayne Madsen (Captain), Chesney Hughes, Billy Godleman, Wes Durston, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Dan Redfern, Ross Whiteley, David Wainwright, Jonathan Clare, Tom Poynton, Tim Groenewald, Tony Palladino and Mark Footitt.
