Supporters who purchase tickets in advance for the eagerly-anticipated Yorkshire Bank 40 fixture with Essex Eagles at Highfield, Leek, on Sunday can reap the benefits of special discounted prices.
Karl Krikken’s men return to the one-day format against an explosive Essex side that will include Owais Shah, James Foster, Hamish Rutherford, Ryan ten Doeschate and Graham Napier this Sunday; 1.45pm start.
Fans who buy their tickets in advance online by midnight on Saturday will be able to enjoy special discounted prices; with adult tickets available for just £12 – saving £4 – and junior tickets can be purchased for only £4.
On a hot summer’s day, the Falcons enjoyed a six-wicket victory against Warwickshire on their last visit to Leek Cricket Club in 2011; and the forecast is for more good weather this Sunday - so don't forget your sun cream.
Family Fun entertainment will be available throughout the day including bouncy castle, bucking bronco and big slide - while flags and Junior Falcon activity sheets will be free to all juniors.
All-rounder Wes Durston is relishing the side’s return to Leek and is expecting an entertaining match against a hard-hitting Essex side - and the all-rounder believes a good result will hold the Falcons in good stead as Derbyshire push for a semi-final berth.
“I have played at Leek before and it is a lovely setting,” Durston said. “We played there two seasons ago when we beat Warwickshire in a t20. The crowd was excellent then and it was a nice hot day - and the forecast is for the same this coming Sunday.
“The outfield will be lightning quick and the likelihood is that there will be a couple of big scores. It would be nice to get our second victory in the competition, but it will be a difficult game against Essex.
“They have got guys who are in form. I watched Graham Napier on television the other night and he was unplayable - it was quite incredible. But we don’t fear anybody and I think it will be a good game. We welcome Essex, but we are also looking forward to hopefully securing another victory.
“If we can get a good result, we can then hopefully build some momentum and begin to move us up the table. If we can get four more wins and pick up the odd point then we will be looking at the business end of the competition. But we don’t want to look too far ahead, we are just looking to Sunday against Essex at Leek and hopefully we can get good support and a good result.”
Supporters who buy tickets in advance will benefit from discounted prices of £12 adults, £4 juniors and £4 car parking; available online here.
A further £2 discount is available per adult ticket for a group containing four or more adults and – new for 2013 – the Six Pack Ticket allows entry to six matches for just £55.
Junior Membership is priced at £10 – therefore; a parent and child can attend six matches this season for a total of just £65.
Tickets are also available on the gate priced at £16 adults, £5 juniors and £5 car parking.
