Chesterfield will turn pink on what will be the second day of the Hill Dickinson Chesterfield Festival of Cricket in support of the McGrath Foundation, the Cricket Derbyshire Community Foundation and UK charity Breast Cancer Care.
Glenn McGrath will lead a McGrath Foundation XI featuring former Australian team-mates Damien Martyn, Ian Harvey and Jason Gillespie, against a Cricket Derbyshire XI, including legends Kim Barnett, Devon Malcolm and Adrian Rollins.
All advanced tickets are priced at £15. But, while the price of general admission will rise on the day to £20, members can gain £5 discount by showing their card on the gate.
Players and supporters alike will don the colour pink in a charity Twenty20 fundraiser, Chesterfield Turns Pink, to increase breast awareness in young women, to support the UK Breast Cancer Care charity and to boost the McGrath Foundation’s ongoing excellent work in Australia.
A percentage of funds raised will also go to the Cricket Derbyshire Community Foundation; a new charity established to deliver cricket based sport, education and health projects to benefit the people of Derbyshire.
Hours of play: 6pm to 8.45pm. Tickets purchased in advance are priced £15 for adults, £5 for juniors and children under 5 are free.
Adult tickets on the day are £20 or £15 for a card holding member of Derbyshire County Cricket Club; £5 for juniors and children under 5 are free.
