Local Auto Retailer Autoworld Suzuki has entered into the spirit of the Chesterfield Turns Pink Twenty20 – by donating a pink car.
Chesterfield will turn pink on Monday 15 July as Australian cricket legend Glenn McGrath spearheads a star-studded charity Twenty20 line-up in support of the McGrath Foundation, the Cricket Derbyshire Community Foundation and Breast Cancer Care.
And supporters, both at the ground and during the build-up, now have an opportunity to win a brand new Pink Suzuki Alto with raffle tickets to be sold at £5 each both before and during the event.
Held as part of the Hill Dickinson Chesterfield Festival of Cricket, in association with Chesterfield Borough Council, McGrath will join former Australian team-mates Damien Martyn, Ian Harvey and Jason Gillespie – and England legend Darren Gough - in the McGrath Foundation XI.
They go head-to-head with a Cricket Derbyshire XI featuring West Indian legend Shivnarine Chanderpaul, England Women’s star Sarah Taylor and Derbyshire legends such as Kim Barnett, Devon Malcom and Adrian Rollins.
Autoworld Group Operations Director Tony Cordin said: “There’s no doubt that this is a great event for a truly worthwhile cause and we are delighted to offer our support.
“It promises to be a great evening of entertainment that will hopefully raise significant revenue for the three excellent charities.”
