Entry for Members is £15 – a £5 saving on general admission - at Queen’s Park on Monday in the Chesterfield Turns Pink Charity Twenty20, with a 6pm start.
Kim Barnett will lead an Old Speckled Hen Cricket Derbyshire XI featuring the likes of Devon Malcolm, Adrian Rollins, Stephen Stubbings, Albie Morkel and Kevin Dean.
Barnett, whose Derbyshire career brought an astonishing 23,854 first-class runs at an average of 41.12, will face his former team mate Chris Adams, who has been selected for the McGrath Foundation XI alongside the likes of Glenn McGrath, Darren Gough and Jason Gillespie.
Darren Maddy – one of Twenty20 cricket’s great innovative batsmen during his fine career with Leicestershire and Warwickshire - will also guest for the Old Speckled Hen Cricket Derbyshire XI.
Players and supporters will don pink themed clothing to increase breast cancer awareness in young women, to support the UK Breast Cancer Care charity and to boost the McGrath Foundation’s excellent work in Australia.
A percentage of funds raised will also go to the Cricket Derbyshire Community Foundation; a new charity established to deliver cricket based sport, education and health projects to benefit the people of Derbyshire.
Cricket Derbyshire Director of Partnerships Ryan Duckett said: “This is a great opportunity for supporters to roll back the years and see the stars of yesteryear play for Derbyshire once again.
“And with so many international stars of the past and present in action, this really is an event not to be missed – and it’s for a selection of excellent causes.”
Hours of play: 6pm to 8.45pm.
Adult tickets on the day are £20 or £15 for a card holding member of Derbyshire County Cricket Club; £5 for juniors and children under 5 are free. Car Parking: £5.
