Derbyshire County Cricket Club has secured a major shirt sponsorship deal ahead of the 2013 season.
BuyMobiles.net, the UK's No.1 online mobile phone retailer, is already a sponsor of Derby County Football Club, and will now be displayed on the front of Derbyshire’s Friends Life t20 shirts.
As well as giving the Alfreton-based company all-year-round publicity through televised national sport, the partnership announcement comes hot on the heels of Chairman Chris Grant’s call to local businesses and the signing of world number two Test batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul.
A magnificent response to the "Proud to be Derbyshire" membership campaign has helped Derbyshire register their 1,000th adult member for 2013.
Membership revenue is showing a whopping 101% increase on the corresponding date last year following promotion as champions to LV= County Championship Division One and the signing of the world's number two Test batsman, Shivnarine Chanderpaul.
The total figure for 2012 has already been trumped including 201 new members and 799 renewals to date who took advantage of an early bird incentive.
364 Juniors took advantage of free membership prior to 1st February to join and, with 132 Life Members, the club currently boasts a running total of 1,497 Members.
The Ambassador Initiative, which incentivises current Members to assist in recruitment with £50 cash back, has already reached its half-century and remains open to old and new members.
Chief Executive Simon Storey said: “Such impressive Membership results at such an early stage reflect a fantastic response from the Derbyshire public as we prepare for the new season.
“We are heading into the new season with a huge sense of ambition and we're keen to share our journey with as many people as possible across the county of Derbyshire.

A full season's membership at Derbyshire giving unlimited access to all matches at Derby and Chesterfield costs just £175 whilst the new 6 pack ticket giving access to any six games at either venue costs only £55. Discounts are available for; senior citizens, NUS Card holding students, young adults aged 16-21 and those living more than 20 miles from the County Ground.

Karl Krikken’s men joined the first team squad of Derby County Football Club for a training session at Moor Farm.
The two local professional sporting outfits came together as one in a seven-a-side tournament of mixed teams, which was keenly contested, before the Cricketers were put through paces in a shooting session with first team coach Andy Garner.
Krikken said: “I’d like to thank Nigel and the Derby County lads for allowing us to join them for a training session.
His Grace the Duke of Devonshire was a very special guest at the County Ground last week; with Derbyshire’s Patron meeting with both club officials and members of the playing staff.
The Duke was informed all about the club’s vision for the future with Chairman Chris Grant, Chief Executive Simon Storey and Committee Member Brigadier Edward Wilkinson all in attendance.
The Duke was then brought up to speed with pre-season preparations as Derbyshire prepare for life in Division One of the LV=County Championship and witnessed the team training; paying particular interest to a fielding drill being conducted by Ali Evans, Tim Groenewald, Tony Palladino and Mark Turner.

The Media and Marketing Executive will play an important role in the Club’s ambitious plans for the future by driving engagement and consequently revenue through a variety of sources including Membership, Tickets, Hospitality, Sponsorship, Advertising, Conference & Events and Weddings.
Reporting directly to the Media and Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with all areas of media, new media and marketing within the company.
The weather in the UK might be cold at the moment, but Derbyshire are counting on much better conditions when they fly out to Barbados for the club's pre-season tour in March of next year.
Derbyshire are set for a return to the Caribbean as Karl Krikken’s men follow the same pre-season formula that worked so affectively ahead of the recent title-winning campaign.
The squad will make for the Caribbean on Monday, 11th March to return on Saturday, 23rd March after an intense period of warm weather preparation for the new season.
