Derbyshire County Cricket Club continue to be highly active in the local community. Below highlights just a selection of ways the club has strengthened its ties with the local and wider community so far in 2011.
On Sunday 24th July when the Club teamed up with Derby Telegraph to create A Summer Smile for 150 invited guests who had, for one reason or another, endured a terrible year.

Derbyshire County Cricket Club has hosted a selection of additional matches and events for the community in 2011 including the ASDA Kwik Cricket National Finals, the Derbyshire County League Twenty20 Finals Day, the Police Cricket National Final and the final of the ECB's National Club competition.
The club pioneered a cricket participation community event in the Westfield Centre with the ECB Cricket Factory.
We continue to host the Prince's Trust programmes at The County Ground.
Supported NatWest Cricket Force at Sawley & Long Eaton Park.
Provided complimentary tickets to a variety of community groups such as children in foster care.
The Club's Academy took part in a charity bike ride for Teenage Cancer Trust.
