Profile:
A lively left-arm fast bowling all-rounder, Graham Wagg burst onto the scene at Derbyshire with a match-winning six for 38 against Somerset in July 2006 - a performance that won him the inaugural Eddie Barlow Inspirational Performance award.
He went on to take 24 first-class wickets in nine matches during his first season with the club at an average of 37.66.
Wagg has also shown dashing potential with the bat and he fell agonisingly six short of a century during the final game of his first Derbyshire season against Surrey.
The former Warwickshire player signed for Derbyshire on a one-year-contract after spending 2005 out of the game suspended and by the end of the season, he had committed to a further two years.
Wagg led the bowling attack with distinction in 2007, showing more discipline in his bowling and finishing with 53 first-class wickets as a result whilst forming a formidable fast-bowling partnership with Tom Lungley.
Also contributing 530 runs in the middle/lower order in 2007, Wagg has announced himself as a genuine all-rounder.
The progression continued in 2008 as Wagg became county cricket's premier all-rounder by completing the 500 plus runs / 50 plus wickets double for the second successive season: the only player in the land to do so in both 2007 and 2008.
The 2008 season also saw Wagg score his maiden first-class century: an entertaining knock of 108 from 135 balls, including four sixes, against Northamptonshire at Wantage Road.
Having also added the left-arm spinning string to his bow, Wagg's 59 first-class wickets at 26.94 and 538 runs at 26.90 earned him the Derbyshire Player of the Year Award and saw him selected for England in the Hong Kong Sixes competition in November 2008.
Wagg continued to combine seam and spin to good effect in 2009 as he finished with a haul of 47 first-class wickets despite missing two matches through injury.
This included a career best performance of 6 for 35 in the early season victory over Surrey followed by two subsequent five wicket hauls.
Wagg was again selected by England for the Honk Kong Sixes at the conclusion of 2009.
